Hours: 16 per week
Pay: $12 per hour
Summary: The Marketing Internship is designed to provide a current college level student, preferably junior or senior level who is interested in full-time Christian Ministry, experience in the communications field and specifically the ins and outs of digital and grassroots marketing and events. Applicants must be enrolled in a communications, marketing, or similar field, and be committed to furthering the gospel of Jesus Christ in their work.
The Marketing Intern must be:
- Excited about the opportunity to learn and help make our annual Reverberate gathering possible.
- A people person, willing to reach out and cast vision for this event through multiple channels.
- Have a passion for details and making sure loose ends are tied up.
All Water Street Mission Staff must be:
- Willing to sign the Water Street Mission’s Statement of Faith
- A current and active member and/or regular attendee of a local church.
- Able to fully support the Water Street Mission’s core values and ministry philosophy.
Focus of the Position:
- Making our annual Reverberate worship gathering happen by leading the charge in multiple areas under the assistance of the marketing team:
- Social Media Research and Outreach (Influencer Marketing Development)
- Phone Calls
- Emails
- Mailing Follow-Up
- Work with Print Vendors
- Project Management
- Opportunities to assist and observe many elements of the overarching Reverberate campaign reaching all of Lancaster County including:
- Video and Photo Shoots,
- Digital Marketing Campaign Development—including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
- Print Collateral Creation
- Potential OOH Creation
Education and Experience: Writing, customer service, and entry level marketing training is expected. Must be ministry minded and able to work well with team, staff, volunteers and external agencies. Fluent in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential. Experience with project manager software is an asset.
