Statement of Faith

  • 1. We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings and that it is the supreme and final authority in faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
  • 2. We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
  • 3. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man. (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-35; Galatians 4;4; Philippians 2:6-11; John 1:1,14)
  • 4. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and become sinners in thought, word, and deed. (Genesis 1,26; 2 Samuel 12:15-23; Psalm 51:5; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:23; 5:12, 6:23)
  • 5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in him are justified, by faith, on the ground of his shed blood. (John 1:12-13; 3:3-16; 10:28-29; 2 Corinthians 1:22; Ephesians 4:30)
  • 6. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in his ascension into heaven, and in his present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. (Matthew 16:18-19; Luke 24:36-43; John 20:24-29; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Colossians 1:13-14; Hebrews 8:1)
  • 7. We believe in “that blessed hope," the imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Daniel 7:13-14; 9:27; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 5:1-10; Titus 2:13; Revelation 20:1-3)
  • 8. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. (John 1:12-13; 3:3-16; 10:28- 29; 2 Corinthians 1:22; Ephesians 4:30)
  • 9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost. (Matthew 25:46; John 5:24-29; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:3-4)
  • As a condition of employment, staff are required to sign this document as a part of the offer packet. All staff will reaffirm this Statement of Faith on an annual basis.
