Compass Director

Compass launched in 2021, to disciple and walk alongside young adults toward maturity in faith, discovery of calling and leadership in the community. Many come from households and neighborhoods in the City of Lancaster which experience challenges related to poverty. Compass is a next step for graduates of Water Street Mission’s Teen Haven ministry, but also open to others.

The Director must have passion for this age group and the ability to build relationships, gather, and develop programs among people who may be in college, may be working full-time, may have children, or all of the above. This is an out-meeting-with-people job, not an office job or a “plan an event and hope people show up” job. It will require self-motivated initiative, creativity, planning and partnership with other staff, both at WSM and at partner organizations.
