At Water Street, we learn from our guests and their experiences. The transition from shelter to independence is often a big step involving challenges with housing, work, health, and a support network. Our guests have identified healthy relationships as their most pressing need.
Intentional Communities are our response. These are small living communities where 6–12 individuals build a stable life together. It’s a space to grow in trust, support, and friendship, with continued access to Water Street’s care.

The building is purchased. Construction has started. We’re raising $750,000 to open our first Intentional Community home in Lancaster City, and we can’t do it without you.
