What's Rescue Mission Food Drive?

Lancaster coming together!

This holiday season alone, Water Street Mission will serve nearly 27,000 meals to people experiencing homelessness. Additionally, we will give thousands of bags of groceries to those in need. That’s why we are asking our Lancaster community for a helping hand!

In order to reach our food drive goal of 80,000 pounds, here are two simple steps you can take to join the effort and make a difference for struggling families and individuals in our local community!

Get Started With 2 Steps!

Step 1: Fill a bag with the following suggested items:

NO GLASS CONTAINERS PLEASE

Instant oatmeal (variety packs or plain)

Pancake mix (boxed)

Syrup

Cereal

Coffee (ground or whole bean)

Boxes of tea

Peanut butter

White rice (1 lb. bags)

Jelly

Dry beans (1 lb. bags)

Dry pasta (angel hair and spaghetti preferred)

Macaroni & cheese (boxed)

Mashed potatoes (boxed)

Canned beans

Corn starch

Canned soups

Tomato sauce

Canned vegetables (corn & mixed vegetables preferred)

Canned beans Canned meats (tuna & chicken)

Condensed milk

Canned fruit (peaches, oranges & fruit cocktail preferred)

Soy sauce

Salad dressings

Lemon & lime juice

Condiments (ketchup, mayo, mustard & BBQ sauce)

Vinegar (white, apple cider & red wine)

Seasonings (salt, black pepper, garlic powder, herbs, etc.)

White & brown sugar (boxed)

Cooking oil (olive oil preferred)

You can always drop off your food goods at our dock, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We are located on 210. S Prince Street in Lancaster.

Be sure to communicate with Lauren Christie lchristie@wsm.org if you’ve told them your company is conducting a drive. That way, they can meet you and thank you in person.
