Emergency Shelter
Emergency Shelter
Our trauma-informed services are designed to invite guests into deeper engagement, helping them develop a feeling of safety and love that will guide them into further internal work and life-change. Shelter guests find:
- An environment of hope and healing for men, women and children experiencing homelessness
- Nutritious food and encouraging community in our dining hall
- Counseling, training, and a light course load to help give guests a hand up
- Access to our computer lab and community resources to move forward with housing and a sustainable lifestyle
Residential Programs
Residential Programs
In our Residential Programs, our guests receive individualized counseling and coaching, as well as a unique action plan and course load, all serving to help guests reimagine and redefine their future. This includes access to:
- Personalized action plan and counseling to help guests discover areas of growth
- Step Up vocational and career training
- Chapel and small group discussions
- Individualized course load for personal, academic and life growth
- Residential living for deeper community building

Community Clinic
Water Street Health Services addresses all dimensions of health to find individualized solutions. Through our medical, dental, and behavioral health counseling practices we give patients the tools they need to overcome major health obstacles and pursue their life goals. Patients receive:
- Treatment for chronic and recurring health challenges
- Restored smiles that boost health and confidence
- Behavioral health treatment giving patients hope and a brighter future
- Effective health counseling to improve health management for years to come
- Nurse care management to help navigate the complex medical system
Community Food Bank
Community Food Bank
The Outreach Center, our Community Food Bank, provides groceries to thousands of individuals a week. We provide nutritious food in our shopping center to bridge the gap between living expenses and paying rent. In the end we want each person to experience God’s provision in their lives and know they are not alone in trying times.
Here guests find:
- Fresh breads and produce
- Non-perishable food items
- Access to our Community Health Clinic (for qualified individuals and families)
- A shopping experience that creates agency and upholds dignity
Pre-K and Kindergarten Education
Pre-K and Kindergarten Education
Wonder Club classes focus on meeting kids at a critical time, when they first interact with education. This high-quality program serves primarily low-income families by offering:
- A strong educational foundation to inspire a lifelong love of God and learning
- Personal attention from teachers in small classroom settings
- Support for children who may struggle with food insecurity and poverty related issues
- Excellent training in language, number readiness, crafts, music, motor development and social skills
Teen and Young Adults Ministries
Teen and Young Adults Ministries
Teen Haven sets middle school and high school students on a path of restoration so their identity is based not in what the world says of them, but on God’s love.
Compass is coming alongside young adults of Lancaster City to help them discover their mission and purpose. We play a key role in:
- Providing a safe, fun, and nurturing environment
- Mentoring youth to become leaders in our city, churches and schools through weekly bible studies and worship
- Training students in career development and a biblical understanding of calling
- Building relationships with adults and key role models
