Can’t come to campus? Have a look around from your own home!
Interested in exploring Water Street Mission, but can’t get down to our campus? Here’s your chance to get a hands-on look at all our resources and services! This tour will take you through our entire campus, and give you an insider look at what we do here at Water Street.
Providence Shelter, otherwise known as our Emergency Shelter, serves men and women who are experiencing homelessness.
We believe that each person is deserving of dignity, and love, as precious children made in the image of God. Our aim with all of our facilities is to create a space that reflects this truth and helps those who are most vulnerable reignite hope for the future.
This is just one space on our women’s residential floor, the main common living room. However, in addition to this room, we have dorm-style living as well as a shared kitchen. In our residential programs, guests have access to a deeper level of programming, including an individualized action plan and a full-time course load.
Our men’s residential wing includes dorm-style living, common rooms, a small exercise space, and a kitchen. From here, guests have access to all of our programs and resources and use this as a base to reflect and grow, ultimately living out a restored life.
Families play a big role in Water Street Mission. We aim to uphold parenting first and foremost while supporting moms and their children. For families who come to us for help, our goal is to create individualized solutions, and spaces that will help each person feel safe and loved.
On average, we have 50 children on campus at any given time. Our children’s ministry is one way we help care for children at Water Street Mission, so they can feel safe and cared for, during what can be a challenging season.
300 meals are served each day in our dining hall. Guests have access to this space for each of their three meals, but gathering here is not just about eating. The Dining hall is a space for guests, staff, and volunteers to fellowship and build community.
Providence Day shelter is our space for guests during the daytime, where they can gather for meetings with local service providers, like Tabor Community Services, use phones, speak with case managers, or just take a timeout and rest, while they plan for the future.
Opened in 2022, Santiago Social Hall is a place for guests of Water Street Mission to focus on therapeutic arts like painting and music and begin to reengage in a positive social environment.
While restoring smiles is the business of Water Street Health Services dental clinic, dental care is about so much more. Did you know, your teeth deeply impact not just how you eat and speak, but your overall health?
That’s why it’s so important for guests experiencing homelessness to have access to the dental practice at Water Street Health Services. It’s part of our holistic restoration, so patients can live out a transformed self-image, as children of God!
Wonder Academy specializes in Pre-K and Kindergarten education. An affordable private Christian school, students gain a life-long love of learning, people, and God.
Teen Haven launches students from Lancaster City into a life of leadership and purpose. They develop deep connections with mentors who will guide them to a better understanding of God’s love in their life and have lots of fun as they learn more about who they are.
Loading food is a daily occurrence at Water Street, with over 170 guests a day, and thousands of individuals receiving groceries at our Outreach Center. This is an image of some of the real work that goes into Water Street Mission, day in and day out.
The second floor of Sieber hall is where you will find our Volunteer Office.
Additionally, this floor provides space for HR, Financial Services, Donation Processing, as well as our Advancement and Marketing Team.
