Volunteer Coordinator-Support Services

Water Street Mission is accepting applications for the full-time position of Volunteer Coordinator-Support Services. The Volunteer Coordinator connects groups and individuals interested in service with areas of need on campus and ensures the effective onboarding, training and development of volunteers in coordination with other departments at Water Street. VP of Community Ministries

Water Street Mission is seeking a candidate who desires to use their experience, education, and passion to see individual and community transformation to lead our organization’s efforts to impact our city for Christ. If you are a person of faith connected to a local church and want to see lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, consider the role of Vice President of Community Ministries. This individual will serve on the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the President, and will provide oversight and leadership to Water Street’s ministries that serve our neighbors in Lancaster City. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience and will be able to provide support and oversight to our Teen Haven and Wonder Club ministries, while providing direct leadership, vision and day to day management of our Outreach Ministries. The VP of Community Ministries will uphold and embody our core values in both their leadership and development of new initiatives (Dependence on God, Service to the Church, Partnership with the Community, Authenticity in Relationships, and Grace as our Model). Part-time Step-Up Coach

Come join our team as the Step-Up Coach! This team member is responsible for ensuring that all WSM Residential guests have a clear plan to employment and work assignments that support that plan. Their primary responsibility is to walk alongside guests as they develop work skills and tackle personal challenges that would limit their employability. The position is mobile and relies heavily on real-time, personalized feedback. Their main goals are to show the love of Christ, provide a safe relationship to begin addressing trauma, and foster a healing environment that will assist the guest in further engagement with WSM services. The ideal candidate will have a background in job coaching or assisting others in their career development. Liaison

Come join our team as a liaison! A liaison is a human service professional who is gifted in hospitality. This front-facing position is the first experience a guest has with our staff and organization. They will work with a guest from the time they arrive through their first week of Stabilization in Shelter. Their main goals are to show the love of Christ, provide a safe relationship to begin addressing trauma, and foster a healing environment that will assist the guest in further engagement with WSM services. The ideal candidate will have worked in the field with clients who have suffered from addictions or mental health issues. They will be familiar with the devastating effects of trauma and understand strategies to minimize trauma in the guest intake and assessment process. Full-time Evening & Day-time Male Life Coaches

Are you passionate about serving in an urban ministry that ministers to women, men and children experiencing homelessness? Water Street Mission has two openings for a male Life Coach during the day shift and during the evening shift. Life Coaches work with our guests to support them through the process of working on their action plans. These positions are full-time and require weekend rotation and some holidays. Compensation begins at $15 per hour and also includes medical, retirement and paid time off benefits. A shift differential is offered for the evening shift. Part-time Access Center Administrative Assistant

A professional and welcoming person is needed to greet guests, answer phones, complete shelter intakes and support the case managers. This is a part-time role working part-time evenings at the access center. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, and experience in customer service are essential. An associate’s degree or 2+ years of equivalent training and experience is preferred. This is a non-exempt position, eligible for benefits.
