We are looking for a qualified nurse who loves working with people in their greatest time of need. The guests of Water Street enter the Mission with a variety of medical, psychological and spiritual issues that require assessment, triage and compassionate care. One of our highest priorities is serving our guests with honor and dignity.
This position focuses on providing care management of medical issues for persons entering in the Community Homeless Outreach Center (CHOC). This will include individual consultation and making referrals for additional community resources when needed. Another aspect of this unique position is providing long term care management for guests with multiple, chronic medical issues in our Residential program and teaching health related educational classes.

Water Street Mission is currently searching for a full-time Lead Cook in our Food Services Department. This role will assist in food services by preparing and serving food items according to menu specifications and food safety practices as directed by supervisor and ensuring that proper sanitation and food safety procedures are followed. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for operating and cleaning various kitchen equipment. Heavy lifting of 50lbs is required and computer proficiency is essential. The candidate will have a ServSafe Certification and a degree in culinary arts is preferred. This is a non-exempt position, eligible for benefits. Are you a detail-oriented person who has the gift of hospitality? Are you passionate about offering a hand up to those experiencing homelessness, and excited to help others use their time and talents to do the same?
The PT Volunteer Services Assistant will provide administrative support to the Volunteer Coordinator, and will aid in the recruitment and retention of volunteers thru: scheduling new volunteers for orientations, assisting volunteers with creating online volunteer accounts, scheduling volunteers to serve, as well as managing walk-in, phone, and email communication related to volunteering at WSM. This position is part-time and will be about 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate should have a High School diploma and about 3-5 years of data entry or clerical experience. Come join our team as a Liaison (Master’s Level Mental Health Clinician)! A Liaison is a human service professional who is gifted in hospitality. This front-facing position is the first experience a guest has with our staff and organization. They will work with a guest from the time they arrive through their first week of Stabilization in Shelter. Our dentist leads our free clinic that is responsible for providing a full scope of dental services to our guests, community patients and staff.
