Full-Time Cook

Water Street Mission is currently searching for a full-time Cook in the Food Services Department. This role will assist in food services by preparing and serving food items according to menu specifications and food safety practices as directed by supervisor and ensuring that proper sanitation and food safety procedures are followed. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for operating and cleaning various kitchen equipment. Heavy lifting of 50lbs is required and computer proficiency is essential. The candidate will have a Serv Safe Certification and a degree in culinary arts is preferred. This is a non-exempt position, eligible for benefits. Kindergarten Teacher

Do you have a passion for teaching and enjoy working with young children? Water Street Mission is looking for a Kindergarten teacher for the start of the new school year from August until June. The Kindergarten Teacher will be responsible for the planning, teaching, assessing and managing of the Wonder Club Kindergarten classroom. He or she will create lessons and learning centers that will prepare the students for first grade, as well as share the gospel of Jesus Christ with children and parents as opportunities arise. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in early childhood or elementary education, experience with children, as well as computer proficiency. Advancement Operations Manager

Evening Life Coach Supervisor

Do you have a passion for working with people and sharing the love of Christ? Water Street Mission is a local non-profit organization that helps people that are experiencing homelessness get back on their feet through individualized action plans and classes that help them identify their need for Christ. The Life Coach Supervisor position will oversee and train a team of Life Coaches in coaching guests through a personal progressive plan of renewal in a healing environment. The Life Coach Supervisor helps to facilitate all aspects of guest care including but not limited to status change, crisis calls, conflict resolution, discharge planning, and movement from Shelter to Residential. He or she would be responsible for maintaining accurate guest information including reporting and data management. He or she would also be responsible for assisting the Director with scheduling and resource planning, as well as attend meetings to assist in planning and program development. The desired candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field as well as 3-5 year’s work experience in areas of mental health & / or addiction recovery. PT Teacher’s Assistant

Do you have a heart for ministry and enjoy working with young children? Water Street Mission is looking for a PT Teacher’s Assistant. The goal of the PT Teacher’s Assistant is to assist teachers in ministering to children during the 9 month school year from August to June. He or she will assist classroom teachers with daily routines including, but not limited to, setting/cleaning up, preparing snack time, and taking children outside. He or she may be asked to assist the Lead Teacher with planning and lesson preparation and activities. The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma or GED, as well as previous training with working with children. PT Executive Assistant

Water Street Mission is looking for a detail-oriented candidate that exemplifies customer service to our staff and our guests as the PT Executive Assistant. This position will be assisting the VP of Finance and Operations and providing support as needed, to the administration and operations team. The PT Executive Assistant will be responsible for managing external and internal VP of Finance and Operations’ office communications as well as, organizing and supporting meetings. He or she will assist the VP of Finance and Operations with reports and presentations. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or equivalent training as well as experience in a fast-paced environment. PT Female Life Coach

Are you looking for a position where you can make a difference in the lives of people that are experiencing homelessness? Are you looking for an opportunity to supplement your income? Water Street Mission is looking for a detail oriented individual that is flexible and able to problem solve in various situations. Life Coaches work with our guests to support them through the process of addressing the brokenness that led them to be homeless. You would be responsible for helping them walk through this season of their lives and promote life transformation. This position would be about 24 hours per week and every other weekend. You should have a minimum of 2-3 years’ work experience in the area of Human Services – specifically mental health, social services and/or addictions, as well as being knowledgeable of all Microsoft Office products, including Outlook. Master’s Level Mental Health Clinician

Come join our team as a liaison(Master’s Level Mental Health Clinician)! A liaison is a human service professional who is gifted in hospitality. This front-facing position is the first experience a guest has with our staff and organization. They will work with a guest from the time they arrive through their first week of Stabilization in Shelter. Their main goals are to show the love of Christ, provide a safe relationship to begin addressing trauma, and foster a healing environment that will assist the guest in further engagement with WSM services. The ideal candidate will have worked in the field with clients who have suffered from addictions or mental health issues. They will be familiar with the devastating effects of trauma and understand strategies to minimize trauma in the guest intake and assessment process. PT Dental Assistant

Water Street Mission is a nonprofit organization, located in Lancaster city that helps in the restoration of individuals facing homelessness. The PT Dental Assistant helps keep up with the flow of the dental clinic, by sterilizing instruments, performing routine maintenance on equipment, and providing treatment and services to patients. The good candidate will also be responsible for taking and processing radiographs and responsible for upkeep of dental clinic. This strong candidate will possess a positive attitude and good attention to detail. Should already be working in a dental office and a certification in radiology is preferred.
