Same Kind of Different As Me Red Carpet Premier

On October 18th we are hosting a Red Carpet event at Regal Manor and Penn Cinemas, premiering the movie, Same Kind of Different As Me. We couldn’t be more excited to get behind a movie that so clearly shows how relational living can change lives. We couldn’t make October 18th happen without the support of generous sponsors. We are thankful that Saxton & Stump decided to be a Marquee Sponsor for this event. Below is an excerpt of all the great work they do in our community.

Saxton & Stump – Caring is What We Do
Supporting our local communities is at the core of the Saxton & Stump culture. The communities we work and live in are important to us. We believe strongly in giving back, volunteering in leadership roles, and lending our expertise to many healthcare and community organizations. We do this both individually and together as a firm. Saxton & Stump Co-founders Jim Saxton, Esq. and Chris Stump, Esq. continue to volunteer their expertise with many organizations and non-profits.

Jim is a long-term supporter of the YMCA, having served as Chairman of the Lancaster YMCA Foundation and President of the YMCA Board of Directors. He is also the Founding Board Member of the Lancaster Community Health Plan and a Past Board Member of the American Heart Association. As a result of Jim’s involvement with the community, he has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Excellence in Philanthropy Award presented by the Lancaster General Health Foundation’s Board of Trustees (2014) and Philanthropist of the Year by The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (2013). Chris Stump has spent almost 20 years on the Board for Hospice & Community Care. In 2016, he started his 2nd term as Board Chair and continues to serve in that capacity. Chris was also Co-Chair of the Capital Campaign which raised over $3.8 million to build Pennsylvania’s first free-standing inpatient Hospice Care Center. In addition, Chris has served many years on the Board of Trustees for Moravian Manor.Giving back to our community is just part of who we are as individuals and as a firm.

The Water Street Mission is an important community asset and we are honored to support and partner with them. Some additional organizations we proudly support include the Manheim Township Education Foundation, Lancaster City & County Medical Society, Lancaster-Lebanon Literacy Coalition, Hempfield Community Ambulance Association, Lancaster County Community Foundation, Boy Scouts of America, and Samaritan Counseling Center.

Thank you, Saxton & Stump for sponsoring this event. We greatly appreciate your support and all the work you do to make Lancaster County a great place to live.
