Lancaster, PA (August 2023) – Water Street Mission and over 70 partner churches are encouraging Lancaster County residents to come together in fellowship. The 5th annual Reverberate will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023. The event will feature food trucks and a night of worship at Long’s Park outdoor amphitheater. Rain or shine, the evening will run from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
In a time where it’s easy to see division rather than unity around us, Reverberate will focus on community-building with food trucks and picnicking from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm for all in attendance. Food trucks such Blazin Swine BBQ, Cabalar, Chellas, Walk a Taco, Lickety Split, and Halo’s Kitchen will be stationed alongside the amphitheater, encouraging attendees to gather and fellowship before the performances start.
The main event will take place from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, where more than a thousand people will come together again to join in praise together. The evening will include worship from four Lancaster churches and ministries, Lancaster Evangelical Free Church, Reality Church, Westminster Presbyterian Church, and Bright Side Baptist Church; each taking the stage to showcase their musical talent and styles of worship. Throughout the night, short testimonies will also be shared, highlighting how God’s love has impacted individuals and our Lancaster community.
At its core, Reverberate is all about worship, inspiring believers to love one another, and letting that love ripple out into the community. Ultimately, all that love flows from God, which is why this year’s event will be centered on the theme in 1 John 4:19 – We love because he first loved us. “It’s a recognition that God first loved us, and that’s why we love others,” explains Jack Crowley, President of Water Street Mission. “That’s something we all have in common as believers, our belief that Christ is the source of our love and what allows us to truly love our neighbors.”
